Listen everyone,if your company offer Metlife insurancedentalbe carefull using it.when it comes to pay, they always find a way to get you stuck with the bills.first my doctor submited a pre-determination for my surgery,it took about a month before they approved it and i scheduled my appointment to get the work done which is the right way,but before that i called Metlife to confirm my claim, the csr i spoke to told me if i get the work done,i'll be using my whole maximum$1000and $400 will be out of pocket and i said ok.i got the work done, now they will not pay the bill stating that my surgery isn't cover and that they apologized for the mistake and that speaking with a csr is not a guarantee netheir recorded, now i'am stucked with $1400.I disputed it,still don't work.I wish and pray that Metlife go to ***!

Metlife Dental is a scam...or has procedures in place to delay payments in the hopes that they never have to pay.....I have emailed them twice, phoned them more than once going through the phone merry-go-round, and faxed a document yet still no payment to my dentist.

Tomorrow, I will start to fax them everyday until they pay. And then after they pay, I will fax them some more. And maybe toss a few more emails at them too.

Plus the insurance commissioneer and CEO of Metlife should know what a shoddy operation Metlife Dental runs.

If you or your company has coverage please drop it because all your doing is wasting money.Metlife process for disability claim filing and getting the actual payment takes weeks even months .case managers who handle the claim do not communicate with claiment, will not return calls within the 2 hrs you are promised when transfered to case managers voice mail.once med has been provided metlife has 5 business days to review and alot of times all the info requested from the physician who is disabling you is not received so until the med is received the claim stays in review process and then once received that med is another 5 bus days to review .if your claim is denied for any reason you have to send into metlife a letter stating why you are appealing the decision.that can take up to 45 bus days so don't even bother you will be looking at months before any decision.Verizon is metlifes biggest disability client.I hope with this verizon strike it hurts metlife because when metlife says for the IF's in life it means IF YOU NEED METLIFE WHEN YOU BECOME DISABLED YOU ARE SCREWED

MetLife has a long history of ripping people off. New York has had enough of it and is prosecuting MetLife and Prudential.

Call your state insurance department and file a complaint against MetLife and also the agent that sold the policy. Unless people start speaking up and start taking action to prosecute these people they will just keep up the same behavior.

It seems to me that MetLife selects late payment accounts, holds them an additional 60 days and cancels the policies. Then they reinstate the cheap policies and refuse to reinstate the high dollar ones. Probably good business practice but a terrible way to run an insurance company.

all calls at metlife are recorded, do not let them tell you any different.....i worked in the disability department until they fired me for being out on disability myself which they denied my claim saying i was able to work with my mental illness condition (even tho a therapist and a psychiatrist both said i couldn't work and i was approved for state disability). but never ever let them tell you calls are not recorded, because they are.

My father had a life insurance policy with these low-lifes at MetLife. In the policy, he named myself and my sisters as beneficiaries.

When my father died 1 1/2 years ago we sent a certified death certificate to Met and requested payout of the policy. We are still waiting after numerous attempts for results. They claim they need a form from the State of Texas, that the state regulations don't even call for unless a person dies without a will. My father had a will - which is none of MetLife's business anyway.

They should have paid out this small policy like every other insurance company, bank, savings and loan, credit union, and state agency did upon notification of death.

THEY ARE HORRIBLE PEOPLE WHO HAVE MADE THE GRIEVING HEIRS SUFFER FOR MORE THAN A YEAR!!!!!!

I have now hired a lawyer about suing for our money as well as interest, pain and suffering, punitive damages, and have written the state insurance board to investigate their deceptive practices. Are there enough people with complaints against MetLife to look at a class action suit?

Met Life is horrible.. I have auto and renters insurance from them.

I am oerpaying premiums, but, I thought it is a good company with a good reputation, and worth the extra amount I was paying. WRONG.. With my renters insurance, I have a mold rider that would cover me for mold damge due to water leak. When I had damage and filed a claim, it was denied saying it was the landlords responsibility to compensate me.

When I appealed, I got a call saying Met Life could not find I had a rider. I faxed it Monday am and called back that afternoon, and was told they had it and was following up. On Friday afternoon, I get a phone call from case worker saying she was still waiting for me to fax her the rider. I am only asking for $749, not the entire amount I am insured for.

They are doing stall tactics because they know I have a valid claim.

( I have before and after pictures and filed complaints with my city and the state. ) MetLife needs to change their symbol from the beagle to a bandit.
